Sports department conducted the district sports games. In which a football matches was conducted by the department. SDM Amit Mahajan and DSO jasmeet Kaur was present there as special guest. In the football tournament Modern Sandeepni School, Pathankot become the champion of district Pathankot. The players of Modern Sandeepni School are trained by United Punjab FC as the players joined the school of their education. This was proud moment of our club and our associated school too.
The final match was played between our team and Pathankot FC. The final match was very interesting as both teams didn’t scored a single goal till the end of the match. After that the referee decided to go with the tie breaker and match went towards the penalties. In the penalties our team defeated Pathankot FC by 3-1 and won the match and our team declared as the champions of Pathankot.
Coach Harpreet Singh said, “This is our another achievement players has developed them really good as a team. We are the champions of Pathankot District, now Punjab Is the aim. We will work hard to become the champions of Punjab.”
Principal of sandeepni school said that United Punjab FC is doing really well for the football in Pathankot and all over the India. With the proper guidance and training by the coaches of the club our school become a champion, for further matches team is going to Patiala.
